Garden Design Consultation
Bring a fresh designer's eye into your garden.
A garden design usually consultation lasts about an hour (we don't clock watch) and costs £65, though if you ask us to design your garden or produce a planting plan that fee is refunded.
During the time, we suggest garden design ideas and solutions, as well as providing horticultural advice but most of the time is spent listening to you.
A consultation also gives us the opportunity to present our portfolio which, we hope, will give you more ideas and inspiration. We do not charge for time spent going through the portfolio.
Obviously, by the end of the consultation, we would be delighted if you were to ask us to produce a garden design plan.

Garden Design Plans
Should you ask us to produce a plan the first thing we would do is to prepare and present a Fixed Fee Quotation for the design work.
After acceptance, we then need to carry out a site survey and assessment.
If possible we like to survey ourselves but because of their size and nature some gardens are more accurately and economically surveyed by a professional surveyor.
Either way have to visit you to carry out a detailed site assessment. Your garden's aspect, soil, strong and weak points, views, house architecture, existing features and planting will all be studied and noted.
Usually, as you will have had more time to think since the consultation, further discussions about your needs, thoughts and ideas will take place naturally.
By the time we are finished we should have a good idea of your needs and likes and dislikes. In short, we will have a brief and be ready to move on to producing a garden design plan for you.

This is the 'grand plan' of the structure or architecture of your new garden.
It defines the garden design idea and where everything should be and how the garden should be laid out and used.
Drawn to scale, it shows the size and position of all features, describes materials, styles, finishes and colours. It also includes the position and names of any structural trees and indicates the planting style of different areas or borders.
We present it to you in plan form accompanied by many photographs of what it might look and feel like, ideas for planting and samples of proposed materials.
Now is the time to make any revisions required until we end up with an approved plan to take forward.
Our Garden Design Plans usually surprise clients because many are unaware of the possibilities.
All our plans are drawn to scale and annotated so that any competent landscaper can use them to construct the garden.
Some of our clients take over from here and turn the plan into reality themselves; others move on to our next stage -
